Senior Organizational Change Management Consultant

Position Summary:
The Senior Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant is part of the team supporting a variety of business transformation programs, projects, and initiatives. The role includes consulting and mentoring with internal teams and senior leaders, as well as external clients. The Senior OCM Consultant acts as a trusted advisor developing and shaping project success through a shared change strategy, as well as improve the overall change and adoption capabilities through the utilization of our change framework.
Key to the role is the development of relationships. A Senior OCM Consultant takes a leadership role, partnering with key sponsors and developing trust among management teams to assist in managing the people side of change during all phases of the project. The Senior OCM Consultant leverages their knowledge of ADKAR to mitigate risks and roadblocks, as well as facilitate proper communication and learning aspects for each project. The Senior OCM Consultant is responsible for mentoring and upskilling junior consultants in the areas of Prosci, OCM best practices, and emerging trends/studies in the area of OCM, digital learning & communications.
The Senior OCM Consultant role works directly with the Chief Transformation Officer and Principal OCM Consultants on OCM strategy development, alignment, and collaboration for both internal and external clients. Our approach and strategy are continuously evolving to allow us to support success in rapidly changing business environments with an emphasis on digital delivery and transformation.
In addition to external client facing OCM strategy work, the Senior OCM Consultant role has external reach by working with business development and sales teams on proposals, promoting, and growing our OCM offerings.
All OCM consultants are involved in a variety of projects globally, across different industry sectors and work areas; this enables them to learn, develop, share, and adapt approaches to deliver value and improved success for Cohesive projects, programs, and initiatives.
Your Day-to-Day / Responsibilities:
Traditional OCM work us Prosci methodologies including:
4Ps and PCT
Change Management Plans and roadmaps
Communication Plans and roadmaps
RACI and Impacted Group assessments
CLARC role coaching and Line Manager trainings
Sponsor Coalition roadmaps and Sponsor Briefing trainings
Internal thought-leadership on emerging business transformation, communication, and learning topics
Flexibility to participate in ad-hoc activities across all stages of the OCM process
Work with the Chief Transformation Officer and Principal OCM Consultants to help shape of the OCM department moving forward
Constant communication and regular virtual meetings will help harbour a close knit, well-functioning team environment
This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid in our Calgary or Edmonton office.
Travel is required up to 15%.
Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements (https://www.bls.gov/ors/factsheet/visual-overview-of-physical-demands.htm) ). The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
What You Bring to The Team:

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the area of: Organizational Behavior, Organizational Change, Industrial & Organizational Psychology (IO Psychology), Business Administration/Management or similar
Prosci Certified Change Practitioner
Desirable: Master’s degree in the area of: Organizational Behavior, Organizational Change, Industrial & Organizational Psychology (IO Psychology), Business Administration/Management or similar; Prosci Certified Advanced Instructor or Prosci Certified Train the Trainer Level 2
Knowledge / Experience
10+ years’ of experience working in an OCM, HR, or Learning capacity
Extensive knowledge of the Prosci methodologies for change management
Experience managing OCM components, including digital aspects such as microlearnings and communications, to assist internal and external clients upskilling
Proven track record of building relationships at high business levels (upper management to line workers), both internally and externally
Understanding of Agile framework, including agile delivery
Working knowledge and direct experience using project management tools such as: JIRA, Trello, MS Project, Proxima, or similar
Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills
Exceptional history of assisting clients/teams increase adoption or new ways of working and organization
Expert analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience designing and developing deliverables to enable end users and key stakeholders
Extensive experience working remote globally and working within cross-matrix teams
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at the same time
History of and desire to coach and mentor junior colleagues
Desirable
Relevant experience & education in: Transportation & Mobility, Energy & Utilities, or Building & Communities
Relevant experience in organizational effectiveness
Passion for digital first innovations
Agile or PMP certification
