Job Description

　　An employer in the San Diego Area is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Data to join their team. This role will be 60% day to day engineering, consisting of hands-on creation of configuration changes based on requirements from client, translating description into actual code, preparing configurations, and implementing, troubleshooting, process documentation, and building diagrams within Network Engineering. With the other 40% time spent serving as a point of escalation in the operations group, supporting the network, troubleshooting tickets (12 tickets a week), resolving with technicians, and working with providers with minimal to no assistance. This position requires on-call support, one week per month. This person should expect to have 2-3 direct reports within 2 years of holding their position. The employer is looking for someone with strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　CCNP Certification

　　5+ years experience Network Engineering

　　Experience with Cisco equipment (routers, switches, wireless controllers)

　　SolarWinds (or equivalent NMP)

　　ServiceNow (or equivalent ticketing system)

　　Experience building diagrams in VISIO

　　Experience with AWS or Azure * Bachelors Degree

　　Experience with telecom providers

　　Mentorship experience null
