Job Purpose
As a Senior Hardware Development Engineer in the E/E group, you will be based at the Dana Novi Tech Center. You will be involved in all stages of the life cycle of Inverters, ECU, eMotors, ePumps and sensors for electrified drivetrains, from the architecture to the production, through the design and the validation. You will be the main technical reference forefront to support the various product development stages. You will be part of a team involving experts from all fields, and will need to be imaginative and creative in order to ensure the efficiency and the quality of Dana electrification projects.
Key responsibilities:Technical responsibility of electrical components and integration into e-Drives system (PIM, e-Motors, ECU, e-Pumps and Sensors)In accordance with the development phases, define the technical requirements of the electrical components and systems in close collaboration with other departments and Dana global technical centers.Be part of the systems engineering design reviews and produce related documentation (Technical specification, electrical schematic review, etc)Represent the company as a technical expert when meeting with customers and suppliersLiaise with verification & validation departments ensuring full compliance versus overall requirements.Manage and liaise with external service providers and other Dana electrification tech centers.Lead the validation scopes for electrical components (environmental tests, EMC and electrical tests) and lead suppliers DVP execution.Support for trouble shooting and failure analysis on electrical components during e-Drives validation phase.Support of series production internally and at suppliers e.g. regarding End Of Line testing etc.
The EssentialsBachelor's/Master's degree in electrical/electronics;Strong expertise on ECU and Inverter HW development (Schematics, PCBA, testing, troubleshooting, industrialization)Knowledge of e-Pump and sensorsExperience in leading projects and systems/subsystems development;5+ years of experience in powertrain or e-powertrain systems;Ability to work under pressure and in an environment with changing priorities;Experience in the automotive industry, an asset;Automotive functional safety according to ISO26262, an asset;Experience in team and personnel management, an asset;Demonstrated ability to document their work;Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and in complex, matrix-structured organizations;Innovative with a positive, can-do mindset and attitude;Confident communicator who can build rapport quickly and influence at all levels;Sound analytical and organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively;Good written, verbal and presentation skills required.Willingness for occasional travel (10%)
