As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, Oversight Governance Technology team. You are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Governance / Information Architect.
Job responsibilities
Develop & Design/Implement data governance strategies and frameworks.
Designing and implementing robust data governance frameworks and assisting software engineering teams across the Corporate Governance and Regulatory space in conforming to these frameworks to ensure the integrity, security and conformity of our data assets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define data standards, policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain data governance documentation, dashboarding and tracking tools to ensure clear communications across teams
Assess and enhance data quality metrics and procedures
Interface with teams across the space to ensure timely conformity to data governance procedures and provide hand-holding, guidance and assistance for the same.
Develop / Code automation and tracking tools for the data governance processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Proven successful experience in influencing across multiple software engineering teams and assisting in conformity with standards and mandates.
Coding experience in Java and/or Python and/or related technologies
implement policies and controls as well as interfacing with APIs.
Significant experience working hand-in-hand across multiple software engineering teams to implement policies and controls as well as interfacing with APIs.
Experience and proficiency working within the agile process, ideally in a leadership role.
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Strong communications skills in a complex technical domain including the production of detailed, high-quality documentation.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and completeness
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Proven successful experience in influencing across multiple software engineering teams and assisting in conformity with standards and mandates.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles
Experience and certifications in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS)
