  About the role

  Do you enjoy information security research and threat intelligence? Do you have experience developing detections? Would you like the opportunity to research the latest threats and techniques used by attackers?

  The Senior Countermeasure Analyst will have experience in using tactical expertise in exploit testing, and utilizing breach & attack simulation tools, to identify over-the-horizon cyber-attack vectors that may pose a risk to the company's information security environment. The candidate will also have experience partnering with cyber defenders to resolve identified capability gaps. The team member will need to have experience in conducting technical research and identifying methods to detect emerging cyber threats, emulating full-life cycle cyber-attack methodologies, and have a deep, technical understanding of evolving Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).

  Role Responsibilities

  Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threats and vulnerabilities to assess potential risks to an organization's digital infrastructure.

  Develop and implement proactive countermeasures and defensive strategies to safeguard critical systems and data from cyberattacks.

  Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and configurations, and work with relevant teams to apply patches and security updates.

  Stay current with emerging cyber threats, trends, and hacker tactics, and incorporate threat intelligence into defensive strategies and mitigation efforts.

  Continually test security controls to validate intended functionality

  Respond swiftly to security incidents, including malware infections, data breaches, and system compromises, to minimize damage and mitigate ongoing threats.

  Why you?

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Information Security or equivalent experience in technology

  Minimum of 6 years of experience in a technology related field or 4 years in Incident Response

  Understanding of security controls and how they are used to detect and respond

  Knowledge of common network protocols, edge routing technologies, firewall/IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/XDR

  Ability to communicate complex problems succinctly

  Ability to work within a team environment, sharing workload and responsibility

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Comptia: CySA+

  GIAC Certified incident Handler (GCIH)

  Fluent in Python and Powershell

  EC-Council: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)

We also offer the opportunity to receive a discretionary bonus based on the achievement of key business performance and other incentive/recognition programs as part of the offering. The salary range for this role is: $135,000 to $203,000 plus a 18% bonus.
