Working directly with the private sector MITRE Engenuity is a non-profit subsidiary of MITRE, tasked with creating scalable, repeatable, impact from MITRE’s Federally Funded R&D Center work across six different FFRDCs to address whole of nation challenges . The MITRE Engenuity Center for Threat-Informed Defense (Center) seeks a Product Marketing Lead to advance global awareness and impact of our R&D program, support business development, and partner with existing members to maximize their investment in the Center. You will partner with research teams to help them launch new R&D products and drive awareness of our work through co-marketing and well-thought-out campaigns. You will lead the production of our annual report, helping the cyber defense community understand our organization and our impact through case studies. You will collaborate with our membership program and business development leads to retain existing members and recruit new members.

I n MITRE Engenuity , o ur programs are our products and the program marketing professionals on the Go-to- M arket (GTM) team are expected to be experts on how those products should be positioned in market. They should have a deep understanding of the market, competition, customers, product positioning, and key differentiators. Functionally, our program marketing employees serve as a bridge between program staff and other core marketing functions or between the product and the market. They are planning masters. They develop and communicate clear, thoughtful, and consistent plans with attention to detail and forethought that ensures successful delivery and sets proper expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Program and product marketing
Partners with product SMEs, program leaders and sales to create effective market position(s) and key value propositions
Drives creation of effective sales enablement materials and mentors sales on leveraging assets
Ensures consistent brand strategy and messaging
Defines audience and assets for campaign s , aligning content plans with customer journeys
Manages relationships with partners , suggesting and enabling co-marketing
Strategic marketing planning and execution
Creates and maintains strategic marketing calendars and plans for program
Sets OKRs or KPI s for program with leadership and drives to results
Defines, plans and documents GTM and sustaining campaigns for the program
Partners with other program marketing leads on cross promotion and prevents calendar conflicts
Launch Planning and Execution
Collects inputs and requirements efficiently and with authority at time of intake
Clearly communicates needs and dates to everyone involved in production
Ensures outputs align with messaging and brand
Partners with events team to ensure events are impactful
Measures and monitors launch progress against goals
Integrated Marketing / Marketing Campaign Management
Recommend and help plan lead generation and campaigns
Identifies and outlines content needs related to campaigns
Analyzes campaign data and leads to adjust audience, spend and messaging
Manages social media including moderation, and recommends actions t o grow LinkedIn presence
Works with media relations team to create public relations opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
8 years of related job experience, with at least 3 years in each functional area (program / product marketing, strategic marketing, marcom or marketing project management, marketing operations and integrated marketing) with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
Effective and mature communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing, comfortable in business and technical discussions
Experience in and / or understanding of private sector cybersecurity products
D emonstrated excellence in driving growth, strategy, and go-to-market
Preferred Qualifications:
An understanding of community and membership management
Experience with early-stage startup environments
Experience co-marketing with partner organizations.
