Job Description

　　Insight Global is looking for a Safety Specialist to join a Full Service Installation Company in Petersburg, VA.

　　Responsibilities may include:

　　* Conducting safety inspections and auditing to assess employee compliance with safety regulations

　　* Reviewing safety training and recommends revisions, improvements and updates

　　* Facilitating employee training on applicable safety standards

　　* Recommending risk reduction strategies

　　* Inspecting safety equipment; recommending replacement

　　* Drafting and implementing internal safety standards and policies

　　* Investigating accidents to identify causes and/or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future

　　Skills and Requirements

　　* Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards OSHA 500 or OSHA 510

　　* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

　　* Experience conducting training

　　* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

　　* Proficient with Microsoft Office

　　* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

　　* Prefer experience working with or inspecting electrical work

　　* Experience working in the Construction field. * WAPM- Work Area Protection Manual

　　* VDOT MOT- Maintenance of Traffic Certification

　　* Electrical or construction background

　　* Experience on bridges, tunnels, sub stations, roads

　　* VOSH experience then working within a public company. null
