JobSummary: The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services works collaboratively as anactive member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeuticpatient and family centered care. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Servicessystematically and continuously collects and assesses data related topatient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care.The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services utilizes evidence to drive clinicaldecisions and practice related to individual and population health. TheStaff RN - Ambulatory Services establishes goals and strategies formeeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient,family, and/or other care providers. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Servicesconsiders factors related to safety, effectiveness and fiscalaccountability in planning and delivering care. The Staff RN -Ambulatory Services delegates and supervises care in accordance with theWI Nurse Practice. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services participates incontinuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibilityfor their professional development. Major responsibilities of this rolewill include one or more of the following: o Perform/direct ACLS oIndependent rhythm interpretation and defibrillation o Administration ofadvanced lifesaving medications o Independent, templated (\"RN-only\")visits for patient assessment, with action taken based on establishedprotocols and/or clinical practice standards using clinical judgement todetermine intervention timing/specifics. o Specialty patient educationwhere certification/additional certificate is required for role (listedin job requirements) o Sedation o Telemetry monitoring &interpretation/management of rhythm changes o Assisting with complexprocedures - (RN doing care / work on patient, or RN has role intreatment / procedure, etc.) o Advanced wound therapy (VACs,debridement, etc.) o Central line management (TPA administration) andmaintenance (dressing / cap changes, access / flushing) o Deviceinterrogation and interpretation with resultant action o Complexinfusions (concurrent infusions, hazardous medication administration,blood and blood products, etc.) Work may also include patient carecoordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone...
