  The Ace Internship program allows you to apply skills and knowledge you're learning in College today, while contributing in a hands-on environment to fit your career objectives, complement your academic work and enhance your learning. Here’s what you will take away from your experience this summer:

  Real hands-on experience in your assigned department/function with day-to-day projects, responsibilities, accountabilities and deadlines.

  Opportunity to partner with other interns over the summer on a Capstone project, presenting your findings and recommendations to Ace’s Leadership

  Resume Workshop to help you prepare for future opportunities

  Your Responsibilities

  The Retail Training Curriculum Development internship will give you useful and relevant exposure to Learning & Development (curriculum, learning management system, and learning architecture) in a fast-paced corporate setting. This internship will provide you with an invaluable opportunity to:

  Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to simplify and enhance existing eLearning courses and online assessments

  Develop eLearning courses from start to finish (content curation, flow, and development), in partnership with experienced Curriculum Developers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and vendor partners

  Perform testing and quality assurance (QA) of new and existing eLearning courses to ensure an exceptional learner experience

  Use rapid development authoring tools (Articulate, Power Director, Canva, PowerPoint) to create eLearning courses

  Collaborate with Ace business partners to coordinate and execute virtual and in-person training sessions for Ace’s fall convention

  Experience Ace’s Learning Management System (LMS), Ace Learning Place (ALP) powered by Cornerstone SBX

  Other responsibilities as assigned

  The ideal intern will possess the following:

  Working towards a bachelor’s degree in the following area(s): Learning and Development, Instructional Design, or Human Resources

  Entering Senior year of college

  Solid PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, and Power Point)

  Strong oral and written communication skills

  Analytical and problem-solving skills

  Adaptability and ability to learn quickly in high-pressure environments

  Ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to contribute as an effective team member

  Takes ownership and accountability of projects and responsibilities

  Excellent time management and organizational skills

  Demonstrated motivation and initiative to succeed

  Knowledge and interest in Ace Hardware Corporation

  Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday -Friday for 12 weeks

  Willingness and ability to give presentations to colleagues, managers and directors
