Principle Responsibilities: Administer medically prescribed respiratorytherapy, while following AARC Best Practices Guidelines. Meetspatient\'s goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing andinterpreting evaluations and test results; determining respiratorytherapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and byprescription. Helps patient accomplish treatment plans through extensivepatient/caregiver education of oxygen therapy, PAP therapy and NIV.Evaluates effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing,noting, and evaluating patient\'s progress; recommending adjustments andmodifications. Provides customer in-home setups and location visitsDocuments and reports the patient\'s status to the prescribing physicianas required. Documents and maintains the patient\'s clinical status andcurrent patient information in medical software programs. Ensures allpatient documentation is completed accurately and submitted in therequired time frame. Maintains patient confidence by keeping informationconfidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complyingwith procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensures operation of equipmentby completing preventive maintenance requirements; followingmanufacturer\'s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling forrepairs. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attendingeducational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishingpersonal networks; participating in professional societies andmaintaining a current Illinois State license. Complies with federal,state, and local legal and certification requirements by studyingexisting and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcingadherence to requirements. Communicates and coordinates collection ofpatient deductible and co-payments. Collaborate with Clinical Servicesstaff to provide a high level of customer service to our patients.Coordinates follow up physician appointments to ensure face to facevisits are completed in a timely fashion. Complete follow-up calls topatients. Responds to customer requests courteously and with respectApproaches customers and inquiries in a manner which representsownership Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems andmaking recommendations to executive leadership Refers troubleshootingcalls to appropriate department Reports any patient or referral relatedproblems to Department Manager immediately Build and maintain positiverelationships with referral sources to include education on medicalequipment qualification and policy changes Promote company program andservices to assigned referral source.
