Supports the Target and Beam dump group / High Power Targetry Department in the FRIB Accelerator Systems Division
Beam dump Participate in design of mini-channel and rotating beam dumpThermal-structural analysis for the mini-channel and rotating beam dump Participate in thermal tests for mini-channel and rotating beam dumpTarget Participate in design of multi-slice rotating graphite target systemThermal-structural analysis for the single and multi-slice rotating target systemSupport FRIB Operations by maintaining and preparing the target systemDevelop advanced materials for beam intercept devices Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
