Organization Overview
The ultimate objective of the work in my laboratory is to understand the cellular and molecular basis of vertebrate embryonic induction, with a special emphasis on germ layer and organ formation. Toward this aim, we perform comparative studies using both amphibian and mammalian model systems, including human embryonic stem cells.
Overview
The Research Assistant will work on a project studying cell fate specification, patterning, and morphogenesis using human embryonic stem cells. They will use micropattern technology and other tissue culture techniques to model early human development and investigate developmental aspects of neurulation.
