Jacobs is seeking a Project Maintenance Specialist to join our Operations Management Facilities Services (OMFS) Maintenance team in San Marcos, TX. In this role, you'll assume a leading role supporting maintenance and asset management efforts at the San Marcos treatment facility. You’ll facilitate maintenance knowledge related to technical support for mechanical, electrical, IC and PdM support; Support optimization of treatment facilities maintenance through benchmarking and key performance indicator analysis; Evaluate the projects’ maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and provide input for possible improvements; Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations; Perform skilled mechanical repair work and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment. You’ll also assist the project in set-up and training for predictive maintenance programs (vibration, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, etc.); You'll conduct condition assessments on project vertical assets and document assessments in the ACES software program; Prepare, consult on, or review maintenance cost estimates and level of effort; and perform ongoing project reviews to determine client satisfaction with past service and develop recommendations on the need for future service.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Six (6) years of complex and/or industrial maintenance experience. US Military training is acceptable.

Proficient in the use of CMMS software (example, Maximo, Maintenance Connection, SAP)

Highly proficient in the use of spreadsheet and/or database computer programs

Experience and understanding of budget preparation and financial accountability

Physical ability to walk project sites and work outdoors under varying weather conditions

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

Comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of industrial equipment maintenance and extensive knowledge of methods to reduce operating costs, improve reliability, and ensure permit compliance

Water and/or wastewater equipment maintenance experience is a plus

Working Conditions Physical Requirements:

The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.

Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour time period must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
