If so, we are seeking a talented professional who is:Innovator Extraordinaire: You thrive on turning bold ideas into tangible, industry-disrupting products.Engineering Maverick: Your technical skills are top-notch, and you excel in solving complex design challenges.Collaborative Virtuoso: You're a master of teamwork, able to unite diverse talents and ideas to achieve a common goal.Results-Oriented Dynamo: You're driven to deliver results, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Position responsibilities:Oversee the New Product Introduction process, from design to production release.Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks solid modeling.Lead design reviews and document changes needed.Lead test fits on new trucks and document changes needed.Create and review drawings, plans, and specifications.Create, update, and ensure accuracy of BOMs within ERP software.Work with other departments and suppliers on new components and processes.Provide support to product manufacturing engineering and manufacturing during production release of a new product.Initiate and validate ECOs as they relate to product improvements and/or modifications.Perform design changes on existing products to improve manufacturability, reduce warranty, or reduce costs.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field required.3 plus years of project management experience with multiple projects required.Previous experience in mechanical product design preferred.3D CAD mechanical design experience (SolidWorks preferred).Experience with multiple materials and processes such as injection molding, rubber extrusion, metal stamping, mechanical assembly, and others.Travel:Occasional travel is required, between local ARE facilities (within a 15-mile radius of one another) and to OEs/Dealers for new product test fits.Rewards:We provide a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits program including comprehensive health and wellness benefits, a matched 401k, educational assistance, and discounts on great RealTruck products for you, your family, and friends.Who we are:At A.R.E., a RealTruck Company, we are manufacturing the nation's best fiberglass truck caps and hard tonneau covers - it's our identity and what we have been doing since we began manufacturing wood frame truck caps in 1969.
