Position Summary
Physicians and medical school faculty at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center are seeking a dedicated individual to serve as the Research Coordinator for the Conexiones Linguisticas Community & Clinical (CLCC) Program. This role will involve expanding our existing cultural and community health educational program, "Digame & Bienvenid@s," into a comprehensive language and clinical placement initiative.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of culturally and linguistically competent medical care and to work closely with diverse communities in the Washington Heights/Inwood area. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the program's growth and ensuring its success in providing valuable educational experiences for medical students.
Responsibilities
Program Administration:
Ensure daily program success through various administrative tasks.Prepare work plans and budgets.Maintain training and student records.Monitor overall program progress and provide regular updates.Submit formal reports on program outcomes.Liaison and Collaboration:
Serve as the main program liaison for all Community-Based Organizations and partners.Collaborate with the NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Ambulatory Care Network (ACN) to facilitate medical examinations in primary care centers.Research Assistant Role:
Take the lead in submitting Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals.Assist with data collection, analysis, and program evaluations.Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with different community resources.Experience with the IRB process.Planning and executing events.Project management or project coordination experience.Proficiency with analytical software.Spanish/English bilingual proficiency.Other Requirements
Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
