Job Duties and Responsibilities
We're seeking experienced network professionals to join DISH's Wireless 5G Network Engineering Team. This team is responsible for engineering and building the Cloud Infrastructure supporting our 5G Packet Core. As a Network Engineer, you'll collaborate with passionate engineers, bringing a start-up spirit to design, evaluate, test, deploy, and optimize DISH’s future standalone 5G network. The ideal candidate should be innovative, analytical, a planner, possess strong execution skills, and excel in learning, teaching, and teamwork.
In this role, you will:
Designing, engineering, and managing effective and scalable network systems and solutions.
Participating in the evaluation, testing, selection, and deployment of foundational network elements for a nationwide greenfield network buildout.
Ensuring solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices, or assisting in their development.
Communicating engineering solutions through detailed high and low-level diagrams.
Researching, analyzing, testing, retesting, and troubleshooting complex problems.
Working in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict deadlines, both as an individual contributor and team player.
Participating in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing, while staying updated on new technology/technical areas.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
As a successful Principal Cloud Network Engineer, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering. Professional networking certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE are advantageous.
10+ years of professional experience in large enterprise or carrier space.
Solid foundation in networking, including Virtual Routers and Cloud Networking functions.
Understanding of network load-balancers, application load balancing, DNS/Anycast solutions.
Expertise in Data Center network design, multi-site architecture, Spine/leaf configuration, VDCs, edge routing.
Proficiency in eBGP, BGP, IS-IS, VRFs, QoS, integration with public cloud providers.
Experience with server virtualization (VMWare, OpenStack), network configuration automation (Scripting with Perl/Python/Bash), and network service protocols (DHCP/NTP/PTP/SSH).
Familiarity with Software Defined Networking (SDN), OSI model, routing and switching protocols, network security, IPv4 and IPv6 networking, subnetting, and operational experience.
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $208,725.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
