Acting as a subject matter expert, they deliver technical presentations, assist with configuration design, and ensure seamless integration of software products in customer environments. Their focus is on driving overall solution success and facilitating smooth hand-off to customer success resources. Adherence to the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and strict security practices is paramount in their responsibilities.
Provide technical insights to develop the broader strategy for software product sales, based on high level of software product knowledge and frequent interactions with customers and account management teams
Supports primary sellers in relationship building, lending technical credibility with customer buyers
Works hands-on with customers pre-sale to gather solution requirements and demonstrate and communicate implementation best practices
Develop and leads product demonstrations and provide reassurance that the software product will work effectively and deliver ROI in the customer’s environment
Interfaces with technical customer personnel to communicate value of solution in detail
Crafts/delivers technical presentations of offerings to customers and prospects
Assists with configuration design based upon customer requirements and existing IT systems
Tests and integrates software products in customer environments to effectively serve customer needs
Provides pre-sales support as a subject matter expert to the sales team and for pre-qualified opportunities
Works with account teams, provide broad perspectives to identify solutions to existing customers and Account Executives to demonstrate value of UL software products to prospective customers
Leverages technical knowledge to partner with sellers to drive overall solution win
Supports hand-off to software customer success resources to ensure adoption
Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
Bachelors and/or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information System Management, Software Engineering or related discipline.
3 to 5 years of related experience working professionally in sales engineering, technical account management, data analysis, sales or engineering
Demonstrates profound expertise in specialized software products/services alongside strong technical capabilities in software engineering and design architecture.
Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes.
Consultative mindset to clients.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and facilitation skills.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
