Smith, a division that continues to see double digit growth in 2022.Primary FunctionDue to continued demand of Hague Quality Water Products, we are looking forPlasticMolding Machine Operators (1st Shift)to operate our seventeeninjection molding machines.We OfferRegularly Scheduled Hours:1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm, overtime as needed on SaturdaysHourly Rate of Pay:$18.08/hr and upSign On Bonus:$1500 ($500 at 3 months, $500 at 6 months, $500 at 12 months. Our comprehensive benefits package also includes company-sponsored life insurance; 401k with company match; short- and long-term disability programs; tuition assistance; professional development assistance;paid vacation days in your first year of employment;ten paid holidays in a calendar year; and employee discounts.We are a drug-free facility and require all employees to pass a drug screen and background check.ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with superiors and co-workers in a team environmentHandover the work area clean, organized with machines caught up to the next shift team memberGive a status update on machines/products/parts to the next shift machine operatorInform the supervisor if the Gaylord is out of materialEmpty the trash bins at the end of the shiftAccurately record production quantities and downtime codes for all machines attended/operatedPackage all parts and build pallet quantities according to job specificationsMaintain or exceed production and quality performance requirementsEnsure inspection of parts (visual quality check) before packing the partsRemove excess flashing, burrs, and gate connections from all parts in a manner consistent with quality standards (Trim, Wipe and Cut sprue parallel to the product)QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required6monthsof experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience with injection molding machine operation a plusAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Demonstrated ability to keep a safe, clean, organized work areaAbility to make logical decisions regarding quality, sequence of operations, setup, and troubleshootingGood communication skillsA.
