  Description Ascend Rehabilitation, LLC is an integrated health and wellness program for seniors seeking to maintain independence or recover from life-changing events. Highly trained physical, occupational and speech therapists collaborate with fitness professionals to facilitate individualized programs for optimal health outcomes. Ascend Rehab offers a continuum of care and services available in one of the four Saint Therese communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview and Woodbury as well as other senior complex buildings. Comprehensive benefits for staff scheduled 60+ hours/pay period Retirement plan with employer match Responsibilities: Provides professional occupational therapy services using recognized and approved techniques and appropriate professional judgment. Assignments may include working with skilled nursing facility patients, senior housing tenants, outpatients or home care patients either at a Saint Therese location or under contract with other locations. May provide direction and supervision to COTA per MN guidelines. Staff are assigned a primary location but may be asked to float between services and locations based on caseload demands. Weekend and holidays are required on a rotating basis. Job Opening: Occupational Therapist ( OTR/L ) Locations: Twin Cities areas Status: Hourly Type: On-Call Shift: Weekdays, Weekends available Education: Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program as an OTR, OTR/L; minimum of Bachelor's degree. Licensed and registered in Minnesota. Experience: A minimum of one year experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist Special knowledge, skills and abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations Experience working with seniors in a skilled nursing facility preferred High level of commitment to compassionate customer service Ability to meet physical demands of the position including ability to turn, lift and carry clients Good documentation skills and knowledge of current insurance guidelines Good organizational skills and time management skills Equal Opportunity Employer: Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, Disabled Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
