The Department of Pediatrics - Divisionof Emergency Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant Responsible for providing the assessment and care coordinationfor pediatric emergency patients and families and for assuring highstandards and efficient care across the care continuum, participating inquality improvement, education and research located in Milwaukee,Wisconsin at Children\'s Wisconsin. The team provides Level 1Pediatric Trauma Care to approximately 70,000 patients annually visitingfrom Wisconsin and northern Illinois. The Advanced Practice Provider(APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who willcontribute to excellence in program administration, patient care,patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. Areas of responsibility willinclude, but not be limited to providing direct patient care toPediatric and Teen patients in an emergency department setting. In thisrole you will: Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams,identifies normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitiveand psychosocial status. Order, perform and interpret screening anddiagnostic procedures and test and appropriately communicate anddocument information. Develop pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceuticaltreatment plans.
