What You Can Expect
Responsible for writing, troubleshooting, and maintaining programs for software-driven inspection measuring systems such as Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Keyence, Rondcom, Visual Inspection Systems, etc. for product/equipment inspection and Metrology gage inspection. Debug and certify programs and support production in software driven inspection measuring system downtime. This position may require the flexibility to work any shift.
How You'll Create Impact
Write/Modify software-driven inspection measuring system programs for product/equipment and Metrology gage inspection, debug and certify programs, and train appropriate parties.
Prepare, store and maintain necessary files in the DNC database system.
Consult in design, development and implementation of fixturing intended to optimize software-driven inspection measuring system inspections.
Respond to special inspection priority jobs, by reviewing print and set-up procedures, obtaining specialized fixtures, inspecting items, and reporting evaluation results.
Respond to software-driven inspection measuring system downtime requests by identifying and correcting equipment malfunctions.
Use shop math to calculate data and evaluate data.
Assist in training of production employees in the operation and troubleshooting of software-driven inspection measuring systems.
Assist the engineering areas in the development and execution of inspection methods, validation protocols/reports, inspection sheets, controls plans and other manufacturing/quality inspection documentation. Provide feedback and coaching to less experienced team members.

Your Background
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (required). Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (preferred).
PC-DMIS and/or InSpec Metrology Software knowledge (certification preferred).
Must have at least 2 years of experience in operating and/or understanding the measuring methods and output of a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine). PC-DMIS programming knowledge preferred.
Other software-driven inspection measuring system experience (preferred).
Working knowledge of using an advanced three-dimensional CAD system. Unigraphics or Solid Works preferred.
Knowledge of measurement equipment used within Metrology (vision systems, manual height gages, general inspection tools, etc.).
Technical Certification such as CCT (Calibration Technician), CQPA (Quality Process Analyst), CQT (Quality Technician) or equivalent is preferred.
Understanding of pertinent ANSI/ASME/ISO standards and calibration methods/techniques.
Understanding and use of Outlook, Word, Excel. Understanding of Minitab preferred.
