Job Description
The Logistics lead position will be required to select the most economical and efficient common and contract carriers. Such as air freight, motor carriers, or Postal Service to transport materials, tools, equipment, and product to and from company facilities.
Follows BAE shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, assemblies, parts, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, and conformance of materials, reports materials shipped and bills of lading, posts weight and shipping charges, routes material to its destination. Uses computer system for tracking shipments, verifying, and reporting data.
Will be responsible for ordering and managing all packing materials issuing yearly blanket PO s, performing periodic cycle counts to support our yearly shipments. Work closely with quality, supply chain, engineering and program office ensuring that all needs and contractual requirement are met.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
5 year s experience in a shipping receiving environment.
HAZMAT Ground and Air certified
Shipping Information Request (SIR) Experience
Package forecasting and inventory maintenance.
Managing the Blanket PO with our suppliers
Interfacing with all levels of management Contracts, Quality, Program management and Planning
Secret Clearance must be current or obtainable.
Understanding of inbound PO/Receiving process
Knowledge of ACE/AES government system
Familiar with UID entries
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or better
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $65880 - $105360
