Teach assigned massage therapy classes both lecture and demonstration in accordance with NC Board of Massage and Bodywork therapyResponsible for providing and sustaining an effective learning environment for every student through well-prepared classes, relevant assignments and fair and holistic assessment of learningProvide clear documentation and feedback on student progress, and support of academic success for all studentsFollow safe and sanitary practices for students and instructorsTeach to all levels of student abilities and adjusting subject matter as requiredAttend teachers meetings and program meetings as scheduledAbility to offer constructive feedback to students to help them improveAbility to be firm in implementing the policies and procedures in place for the school[MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}
Current Massage Therapist License in the State of North CarolinaCurrently have or by the date of hire completed 500 hours of documented hands-on experience (excluding internship hours) and 30-hour course for teaching adult learners OR Licensed as a Massage Therapy Instructor in the state of North CarolinaAt least 2 years of experience as a licensed Massage Therapist in a clinical or Spa settingMust hold current CPR/FA card (either Red Cross or AHA)[OTHER RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}
Instructors must be aware of the institutional passing rate of first time test-takers on licensure and certification examsStrong Instruction and communication skillsAbility to track students and keep them engagedAbility to complete paperwork when necessary
