  Job Description

  Oregon Assembly Technology Development Factory (OATDF) Manufacturing Technicians within Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) will be responsible for, but are not limited to:

  Perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting and training.

  Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters.

  Collect and evaluate operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization.

  Improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability.

  Read and understand process specifications and be able to use factory systems to make decisions on production operations.

  Prepare and deliver pass down to the next shift utilizing factory systems.

  Support engineering development activity as needed through documented directions or working directly together

  Perform electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, chemical or mechanical troubleshooting to maintain equipment used in the assembly manufacturing processes.

  Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, repair manuals, or specifications.

  Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting diagnosis on production equipment. Resolves non-standard problems, works with minimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

  Works with Engineering to support new equipment installations, sustaining, and process improvement initiatives.

  Judgment and initiative are required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations.

  Must be willing to work night shift

  Candidates must be willing to:

  Work on a compressed work week (CWW) schedule. Shifts are twelve hours long from 7pm to 730am (less unpaid 30 min lunch) and rotate from three to four days a week - Night Shift 4: Sun, Mon, Tue or Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue.

  Regularly lift to 25 lbs, occasionally push carts for a distance of at least 500 m.

  Walk approximately 3-5 miles and stand or sit for up to 9 hours within a shift.

  Able to navigate stairs within the cleanroom, multiple times throughout the shift. Occasionally climb and perform work on ladders or at heights.

  Work in a clean room environment wearing a bunny suit (coverall, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves) for the duration of shift (There may be additional safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required such as face shields, respirators, chemical aprons etc.). Be able to doff/don all items independently.

  Wear closed toe shoes for the duration of shift.

  Spend the majority of work time (more than 90 percent less break time) in a clean room environment working on tool sets, processing wafers

  Use job-specific fixtures, basic hand tools, and potentially airline-supplied respirators as needed.

  Qualifications

  You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.

  Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

  Minimum qualifications:

  HS diploma/GED or higher degree and 1+ year technical certification or trade school OR

  HS diploma/GED or higher degree and 2+ years hands on experience where preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting are a primary job requirement for the position including military technical experience OR

  HS diploma/GED or higher degree and 1+ year semi equip maintenance experience OR

  2-year Associate of science degree (STEM) or higher

  Preferred Qualifications:

  6+ months experience with-

  Die Prep/Wafer Assembly tool sets and software.

  Electromechanical systems including robotic drives, actuators and microcontrollers.

  Interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  End user computer skills and navigation including use of Microsoft Office applications.
