Job Description
The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer is responsible for implementing BAE Systems Fort Wayne s new MES: Aegis Software s FactoryLogix. This exciting opportunity will put the selected candidate in the driver s seat of our facility s most significant improvement project, digitalizing production execution and leading the site into Industry 4.0.
Design, develop, and implement MES solutions using FactoryLogix
Collaborate with all pertinent stakeholders (Aegis Software, Operations Teams, IT, Quality, Engineering, etc.) to gather requirements and ensure success
Lead project team of four to six personnel
Convert legacy work instructions into FactoryLogix
Develop project plans and provide updates to senior leadership at the facility
Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications and test plans
Develop training materials for successful implementation
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to FactoryLogix and related processes
Maintain FactoryLogix once implemented
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in engineering, business administration, computer science, or a related field
Minimum 6 years of shop-floor experience in manufacturing, including developing work instructions
Minimum 3 years of project management experience
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience
Understanding of Industry 4.0
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience using FactoryLogix or other Aegis Software tools
Experience using Oracle E-Business Suite
Experience as a manufacturing engineer
At least 3 years of electronics manufacturing experience
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
Understanding of ISA-95 Automation Standard
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
