  AWS is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Manager Data Engineering who will enable AWS Infrastructure Services Supply Chain (AIS-SC) with scalable Supply Chain Application and Automation capabilities. You will be accountable for driving the entire product life-cycle, from platform, coding, data security, quality assurance and launch. In this role you will collaborate with business leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards, and have a positive impact on AWS AIS-SC Organization. In this, you will lead Data Engineering team and work closely with team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Scientists to architect the Database and System roadmap in context with the business outcomes. You will be responsible for Architecture strategy, Data Quality, Data Security to build scalable Process automation and Analytical solutions deployed in AWS Cloud.

  The ideal candidate is a strong, creative and highly-motivated Data Engineer with hands-on experience in leading development of Analytical Application and Process Automation. You balance technical leadership with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology, tools, and methodologies. Above all else, the successful candidate will be a passionate builder of talent and teams.

  We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Bengaluru, KA, IND

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related field.

  10+ years of Data Engineering experience with 5+ years of technical leadership experience contributing to Data Strategy and Cloud development.

  5+ years of experience in SQL and Python programming

  Experience in partnering with product and program management teams.

  Track record of bringing in and growing engineering talent.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

  Experience with Agile software development.

  Experience with cloud computing and other emerging technologies.

  In-depth understanding of solutions in AWS (Redshift, S3, EC2).

  Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, generate technical designs, and influence product strategy.
