Serving as the general manager, your duties will involve enforcing and executing policies and procedures for store functions, assessing and monitoring employee performance, and fostering positive customer interactions. General managers are held responsible for the overall management of the store, encompassing sales, store upkeep, inventory management, financial transactions, record-keeping, and other associated tasks.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B; orTwo years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A; orThree years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; orThree years of lead or supervisory retail sales work.

Legal Requirements:You must pass a background investigation.  An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.  Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
