　　Where the Chemistry Happens...

　　BASF Freeport Utilities department provides various services (clarified water, fire water, deionized water, potable water, waste water, steam, natural gas, nitrogen, instrument air, caustic, power) to customers.

　　The Line Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene Coordinator will lead daily execution team efforts to ensure high degree of safety in the Utilities Production areas at the Freeport site.

　　As a Line OSIH Coordinator, You Create Chemistry By...

　　Maintaining strong interface with Operators/Technicians and Shift Supervisors

　　Leading incident investigations and ensuring completion of AIMS reports

　　Tracking and ensuring timely closeout of safety & health related action items (incidents, audits, suggestions, etc.)

　　Developing and maintaining documentation and ensuring execution of safety & health programs

　　Participating in the development and maintenance of as well as ensuring proper execution of the following safety & health programs

　　Conducting ongoing reviews of closed work permits and energy isolation forms and implementing measures to ensure continuous improvement

　　If you have...

　　A High School Diploma or equivalent required and a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, including Field Operator and Board Operator experience, preferably in Utilities or a minimum 5 years of front-line safety experience in a chemical manufacturing environment

　　Good communication and interpersonal skills

　　Ability to interact with all levels within the organization

　　Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

　　Ability to train a diverse Operations Team

　　Must be able to pass a physical to work as a shift technician. Although this is a day shift position, the incumbent is eligible to work day or night shift on overtime, if qualified as a technician in the Freeport Utilities plant.
