Job Description

Core Responsibilities:
The Engagement platform product is serving many consumer & shopper facing experiences (from kids insider club, LEGO Builder, LEGO Super Mario app to retail/LEGO.com, LEGO IDEAs) via a set of micro-services covering standard online community functions, social relationship (friends/family) as well as product registration. We are primarily backend driven and the data owner for user generated content and product relations.
As a lead developer, you provide technical direction and establish solid tech foundation, practice, and quality metrics for this area.
Actively contribute to our codebase and drive consistent improvement to architecture design pattern, code standard and operation efficiency.
Lead a backend development team, following modern engineer practice and disciplines, working closely with product manager to ensure the solution meet the ideal value outcome.
Engage with broad stakeholders together with product lead and foster cross dept. tech collaborations.
Platform mindset, ensure our services are discoverable, easy to integrate and high performing on also non-functional requirements e.g. scalability, resilience, maintainability, observability etc.
Proactively explore and adopt new technologies to ensure the attractiveness of platform services.
Able to rally and mentor the team for taking ownership of architecture and tech solutions.
Technologies we currently using are based on .NET C#, AWS serverless, CI/CD, IaC.
At cross audience technology, all our solutions serve as foundational enabler /ecosystem components to a broad spectrum of experiences cross the LEGO group. You will be part of this dept. LT to help co-build a strong engineering culture with emphasis on collaboration, ownership and value, quality driven software development.
Do you have what it takes:
8+ years of experience in back-end software development using C#/.NET or other high-level programming languages.
2+ years of experience with architecting and operating high-performance serverless solutions in the cloud, preferably on AWS.
Experience with relational and document database .
Familiar with rest API, graphQL, and micro-service architecture
Previous experience of leading a development team based on modern engineer practices is a plus.
