Siemens Mobility is a separately managed company of Siemens AG and has been a leading supplier in the field of mobility for over 160 years. Our core business includes rail vehicles, rail automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems and related services. We have always been very innovative in making traveling faster, safer and more comfortable. Today, we need new solutions to new challenges such as climate change and rising populations worldwide. That's what drives us. That's why we shape mobility with passion, always being one step ahead. Through digitalization, we make infrastructures smart and create opportunities that get us from A to B sustainably and seamlessly. Our 39,800 employees are pioneers in mobility who help to keep the world moving.

  What do you contribute?

Welcome to the Rail Infrastructure business unit, where you will shape innovative projects for the future as a Junior System Manager (f/m/d). In this role, you will play a decisive role in the development of customised solutions (hardware and software) for our global customer projects. You will not only rely on technical expertise, but also actively shape the interface to stakeholders, partners, and customers.

You develop specific designs for customer projects based on the individual project requirements.

Also, you design specific control center solutions for projects in accordance with customer, product, safety and security requirements.

Together with your colleagues (f/m/d), you define the software and hardware architecture, manuals, and test procedures.

Moreover, you implement, test and commission the complex hardware and software solution with the support of the team.

You take part in technical meetings with partners, customers, and other companies.

In addition, you communicate and collaborate effectively with various technical and mobility departments.

  What do you bring along?

You hold a university degree (Bachelor) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science or a comparable specialization.

Also, you have initial professional experience in system engineering, system management or technical project management.

You have gained this experience in the railway industry, ideally in the field of control and safety technology.

As a result, you have gained your first practical experience of relevant standards (e.g., CENELEC) and development processes (e.g., GUIDE process).

You impress us with your solid knowledge of Linux, SUSE, and virtual machines (VM).

You have a very good command of English for working with colleagues (f/m/d) and customers all over the world. German language skills are an advantage.

  What do we offer you?

  Work Life Balance

With flexible working hours and the option of a sabbatical, we create an environment that allows you to balance your professional and private life. Your working hours are regulated by collective agreement [35 h/week], overtime is compensated, and you benefit from 30 days of vacation per year.

  Compatibility family and career

With an additional childcare allowance and a company kindergarten, we help you to concentrate fully on your career without losing sight of the demands of your family life.

  Mobile working /Remote working

With us, you will have the opportunity to work hybrid. This means that you can work remotely to a considerable extent. We have officially regulated this through a company agreement.
