Planet Tool and Engineering is a very diversified job shop serving many industries. We manufacture parts and equipment for several industries. We also provide custom design and build services for machines and equipment.

　　We are seeking a journeyman all-around machinist. One who is experienced with both manual and CNC equipment. Ideally this person would be capable of bouncing around and filling in for various positions as needed.

　　This position requires:

　　Experienced with the setup and operation of manual mills, lathes, grinders, ETC.Experienced with the setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes.Familiar with Mastercam software.Experience with a variety of different setup styles.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Measuring parts with micrometers, calipers, thread gages, and other precision measuring tools.Maintain precise tolerance requirements and finish expectations.Making parts from a wide variety of materials: Aluminum, Steels, Stainless Steels, Brass, Copper, Plastics, ETC.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.The requirements listed above would be preferred, but we do offer OTJ training in some instances. Wage rate is based on experience and capabilities.
