About IT Project Analyst (Hybrid/Remote)

  The UMB Governance organization within Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is comprised of IT leaders, project managers, architects, software engineers, and analysts coming from diverse background and experiences. Functionally, the Governance Organization provides guidance and oversight to IT processes, projects, capacity, and risk management functions to ensure appropriate strategies, policies and controls are executed effectively and efficiently.   As the IT Project Analyst, you will be responsible for the administration of the UMB Alternative Development Center (ADC) team and will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing IT governance frameworks to enhance our organizational efficiency and effectiveness. You will be interacting with all levels within the organization, optimizing and maintaining project standards, proactively identifying improvements that best align with the strategic priorities of the firm, measure KPIs, and analytical reporting. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which involves other multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership. This role is hybrid (Tue & Wed on-site) for candidates in Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of Kansas City area but within the US.

  How you’ll spend your time:

  Develop the execution strategy and on-going management of the partner relationship with ADC/QA teams.

  Establish operational oversight through the development of IT metrics for Executive scorecards and Board reporting.

  Develop monthly or appropriate frequency business reviews with strategic solution partners to ensure SLA’s, budget, and scope are achieved successfully.

  Communicate progress status, concerns, escalations to IT Governance and overall IT leadership.

  Provide support to IT teams in implementing IT governance practices, promoting awareness, fostering a culture of compliance and assisting in projects when needed.

  Collaborate with Vendor teams, Project managers and IT leaders to prioritize projects, and optimize the overall IT portfolio ensuring seamless alignment with organizational objectives.

  Define innovative and creative solutions that align to stakeholders’ requirements across departments and technical teams.

  You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, OR equivalent experience.

  You have at least 5 years of experience in information technology, software development, and test automation in a blended environment model.

  You have demonstrated thorough knowledge and related work experience of the project management process and lifecycle including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  You have knowledge and experience in enforcing IT Governance processes, methods, standards, and tools.

  You have demonstrated competency in implementing complex project plans, timelines, budgets, and critical paths.

  You have strong critical thinking and analytic skills, including the ability to perform data analysis to support and draw conclusions.

  You have demonstrated strong self-management, organizational, and planning skills by consistently and effectively balancing multiple commitments and meeting deadlines.

  You have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong and influential working relationships.

  Bonus Points If:

  You have experience within the banking or financial services industry.

  You have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  Compensation Range:

  Minimum: $69,230.00 - Maximum: $179,300.00

  The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
