As our Diesel Mechanic Intern, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile equipment used at Greens Creek Mine. Equipment includes, drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, etc. Every day you will work at the mine on a remote island about 18 miles outside of Juneau, Alaska.

　　Heres what you can expect in this role:

　　Training first. Every hire is provided MSHA training in the first 4 days on the job. We also provide department-level training on not just what to do, but safety, as well.Ideally, you will have completed at least your sophomore year, and you can be available from mid-May through mid-August.You will be working on a remote island and living in a mining camp environment away from home if you are not Juneau based. Interns will work Monday through Saturdays, with Sundays off.You'll pass a background screening for ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms), as well as a hair follicle drug screen.Safety is important.
