  What It Means to Be Instructional Design Manager at TTEC

  The Instructional Design Manager supports the standardization of design within TTEC’s Learning Solutions practice. Our Instructional Design Manager will collaborate with the client project managers to assign necessary resources for the analysis, timeline, and ramp plan for a client. You will collaborate with clients regarding training and knowledge base resources and processes and will serve as liaison with Learning Solutions team, ensuring communication related to project milestones, soliciting contribution from matrix resources, and collaborating with other stakeholders/resources as needed to build effective learning solutions for our clients.

  We are looking for an Instructional Design Manager to embrace our integrated set of Learning Innovation capabilities and provide standardization of design for the delivery of transformative learning solutions to our clients.

  What the Role Really Does…

  · Lead and develop a multidisciplinary, geographically-dispersed (remote) team of designers

  · Standardization – Assures alignment with TTEC’s and client processes, tools, and templates.

  · Client Interaction – Serve as primary liaison, proactively identifying risks and identifying solutions to challenges related to the delivery of solutions. Partner with external clients and internal product owners to position learning and knowledge management-related solutions. Build strong relationships with stakeholders within TTEC and with client partners. Prepare and present recommendations and plans to client decision makers.

  · Project Planning – Work with client partner, corporate and local Learning and Performance teams on project plans. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that set goals and timelines can be met. Work with key stakeholders to analyze all needs and follow through for successful management and implementation of programs and initiatives.

  o Key stakeholders include sales and operations executives, client sales partners, Learning and Development groups, and client decision makers.

  · Financial Oversight – Plan and manage financials and budged expenses, (including but not limited to completion of purchase orders, tracking of employee hours, and approving financial reimbursement requests).

  · Project Follow-Up/Control – Ensure compliance with Learning and Performance processes/systems executed during launch/ramp; aid in compiling and distributing requested data.

  · Manage Custom Development launches, knowledge management launch, facilitation events and resourcing, including onboarding, training, coaching, development, compliance, and resource allocation.

  · Design resourcing – Works with the client project manager to assign resources to design work including analysis, timeline, ramp plan, and the creation of the curriculum schedule. Additionally, design and implement strategy to optimize the knowledge base in support of meeting and exceeding operational and internal goals and metrics.

  · Works with director and project manager to prevent over commitment of resources.

  · Serve as internal knowledge base and instructional design liaison on initiatives, proactively identifying risks and identifying solutions to challenges related to the delivery of learning solutions. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to validate solutions align with business needs and expectations.

  · Implementation of innovative solutions – Team up with other stakeholders to launch knowledge base and curriculum development for new sites and/or medium to large client engagements from a Learning & Performance perspective.

  · Project quality – Validates knowledge base and curriculum for new launches and performance improvement initiatives. Instill continuous improvement toward knowledge base and related processes. Ensures high standard for the quality control process.

  · Reporting and metrics - Develop weekly reporting on all programs assigned and complete workflow trackers. Create, build, and distribute custom analytics and reports based on goals and metrics. Report on successes and lessons learned from knowledge base community.

  · Manage People – Manage resources including hiring, on boarding, training, coaching, development, compliance, and resource allocation.

  · Provide oversight to ensure learner focus is included on all development

  What We're Looking for…

  An individual who will lead every day, lives life passionately, seeks first to understand, acts as one, and will do the right thing…while not being afraid to reach for the amazing! Of course, there are some other requirements, too:

  · Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development/Talent Development/Instructional Design/Cognitive Science/Teaching/(Cognitive) Psychology/Computer Science/IT or a related field; Certification in User Experience (Design) and/or User Interface and/or graphic design and/or virtual/digital learning and digital media or equivalent technical and practical experience

  · 2 years experience in people management working with large teams

  · Experience in facilitating focus groups, usability sessions, and subject matter expert interviews

  · Strong project management skills (agile/scrum a plus) and familiarity with task management/productivity software (e.g., Monday, MS Project, Trello, etc.)

  · Knowledge or experience of:

  • Instructional Design principles

  • e-learning content using Articulate Storyline or similar learning design authoring tools, using advanced features in audio-editing tools, using learning technology apps for rapid design and creating user content using basic graphic design features

  • audio-editing tools, edtech apps for rapid design, advanced graphic design features, Prototyping tools, game design, game-based learning, and video game-based learning is desired

  • JavaScript is desired

  • 3D software is desired

  • emerging L&D technologies, such as AI-based adaptive learning systems, xAPI, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality is desired

  · Experience in research and research methods is desired

  · A high level of innovation and creativity

  · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  · Strong attention to detail (e.g., sense of design, light, space, textuality, etc.)

  · Excellent organization and prioritization skills (Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced and time-critical environment)

  · Strong people management abilities

  · Ability to travel internationally up to 25% preferred

  · Practical application of social media activity and knowledge management

  · Experience with social media tools; has experience interacting in online community tools such as forums, blogs, podcasts, RSS, wikis, and user-generated content preferred

  · Good time management skills with ability to plan, prioritize, monitor, and respond to changes quickly

  · Proficiency in Microsoft Office including using advanced features in PowerPoint and basic features in Excel

  · Ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced and time-critical environment

  · Excellent English written and oral communication skills; strong technical writing skills

  · Experience in learning data analysis to effectively evaluate behavioral and business impact of training programs
