Cassia has a fantastic opportunity for a Human Resources Director with collaborative interpersonal skills, as well as strong HR policy and procedure expertise in areas such as FMLA, performance management, benefits, and payroll. Ideally we are looking for someone who has healthcare industry experience, specifically in an older adult services setting.
This role is based in our Edina home office but with significant site support visits, coupled with the ability to periodically work from home following thorough training. Position supports a diverse group of assisted living sites primarily based in and near the Twin Cities and the possibility of one building that requires 3-4 flights per year to another state. You will be a member of the Cassia HR leadership team and will report to the Home Office Chief Human Resource Officer.
Human Resources / HR Director Job Duties:
Serves as primary resource to managers, supervisors and staff in matters of employee performance management. Also provides guidance to HR Manager(s) who report to site leadership.
Provides leadership to sites supporting creating or maintaining positive employee relations & culture.
Performs investigations or provides detailed guidance to managers to perform them when appropriate.
Supports and ensures employment process including advertising, screening and job offers are handled in a timely and legally compliant manner.
Applies accurate knowledge of employment law ensuring solid practices
Supports effective benefit administration, including helping support annual open enrollment process.
Assures HR policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to accordingly.
Assists some locations with ensuring facility payroll is transmitted to Home Office payroll appropriately.
Assists with unemployment claims and hearings as needed.
Human Resources / HR Job Requirements:
HR Management experience; 3-5 years preferred.
College degree in Human Resources or related experience in the field.
Able to prioritize responsibilities among multiple sites and situations
Ability to prioritize and manage high volume of workflow and tasks.
Has knowledge of safety/risk management.
Workers compensation and unemployment experience required.
Strong computer skills.
