Responsibilities
Assigns team member duties to effectively clean guest rooms and public areas, trains new hires.
Assists staff and performs cleaning duties as necessary.
Prepares weekly inventory, checks in supplies and completes reports.
Provides for a safe work environment by enforcing company safety and security policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of housekeeping experience required in guest service or commercial cleaning environment.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures.
Ability to follow directions. train others and work quickly under pressure.
Requires excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.
Physical Requirements
Requires ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, twist, reach, bend for entirety of shift with frequent use of stairs.
Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties.
Visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness of rooms and surfaces.
Regularly exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing.
Occasionally works outside in varying weather conditions.
