How you will contribute: You will estimate new constructionprojects along with upgrades to existing customers\' fire sprinklersystems and leverage your persuasion and relationship management skillsby developing and growing a customer base. Apply your project managementabilities by performing preliminary design and calculations for the bidestimates, preparing pricing for materials, labor, freight, andfabrication, and seeking out competitive vendors and services to assurethat Ahern\'s fire protection projects are competitively bid. You willalso be responsible for preparing scope and quotation letters forcustomers, maintaining monthly estimate logs, meeting with management ona regular basis to discuss current estimating backlog and due dates,participating in turnover meetings as required, and assisting with anyfollow-up information with the customer as is requested, assuming anactive role in managing the projects in conjunction with the designerand construction superintendent.
