Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN at the SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL. Responsibilities You will advise customers on financial regulations, laws, and requirements. You will maintain financial information (e.g., ledgers, budget formulation, financial data) in compliance with applicable retention requirements You will review financial documents for accuracy. You will review a variety of financial transactions (e.g., contracts, funding documents, travel vouchers, progress payments) for compliance with agency standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilization of written and oral communication to obtain information and provide advice on pay and leave, regulations, procedures, programs and systems; 2) Utilizing knowledge of accounting, budget, and/or financial management laws, regulations, and specific procedures to examine, verify and maintain, correct and close pay accounts; 3) Performing and verifying arithmetical computations; and 4) Applying various established accounting methods and techniques in account maintenance and accounting support work.
