Amazon Global Procurement Finance is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager to join its Category Finance team.This is an exciting opportunity to create and innovate on behalf of our internal customers and build the procurement organization of the future.The Finance Manager will lead initiatives across the Global Procurement Organization that reduce cost, eliminate waste, and increase speed of execution. This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to the long-term strategy for the business, and it will require strong partnership with the Operations teams as well as Finance, Accounting and Technology. This is a unique opportunity to own new innovation projects that will advance the strategy of the Global Procurement Organization.Key job responsibilities- Actively participate in Finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities.- Develop financial models for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data driven decision making.- Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses.- Create effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides investment guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.- Lead automation efforts of critical processes.- Work with big data and transforming it into insights and information.- Present financial summaries and business insights to Senior Management (Business and Finance).- Develop and implement framework for internal controls, governance, risk and compliance.- Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively.
