The candidate will mainly focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Responsibilities
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Perform special projects as assigned
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Excellent attention to detail
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Solid understanding of IRS W-9 Forms
Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Proven knowledge of Processing Mail
Processing Check Requests experience
Knowledge of 1099 forms
Gift Processing experience highly desired
Automated Clearing House (ACH) experience
General familiarity with data entry
Quality experience with Microsoft Excel
Well-founded grasp of Bank Deposits
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
