Factory Quality Assurance Manager

Minimum Relevant Work Experience: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar position or field

Nestlé Cote d’Ivoire is currently looking to hire a Factory Quality Assurance Manager to be based in Guinea whose responsibilities include to be in the site the guardian of Quality, food safety and compliance and the challenger of all functions to drive the pursuit of zero defect as the essential base for maintaining consumer trust and preference.
Main Responsibilities:
Quality System & Strategy:
In line with Corporate Quality objectives to elaborate Quality (Nestlé Management System) & Food Safety strategy and to translate it into detailed action plan
Drive Quality and Food Safety culture and behaviors
Identify and coordinate Quality Assurance trainings.
Lead the factory management review of quality (MRQ)
Product Master Ship & Full Compliance:
Ensure correct specification of Materials (raw, packaging) and Finished Goods
Ensure Finished Goods produced complied to Nestlé requirements and local regulation.
Communicate on any new quality requirement and any potential food safety issues and suggest corrective action.
Review and approve HACCP, QMS, documents and working instructions related to quality activities.
Ensure quality checks (sensory evaluation, chemical, microbiological, etc) in Contract Manufacturer as per Nestlé requirements.
Ensure handling of non-conformity products are handled as per Nestlé requirements.
Identify, coordinate, and facilitate training on quality assurance (food safety, NGMP, Hygiene)
Ensure closing of any gap from any audits (NMS, FSSC, FSMS, Q Compliance, NIA...)
Drive internal audits.
Ensure compliance to HALAL requirements.
Support Manufacturing to conduct Industrial Trial, First and Second of Commercial.
Ensure New Material approval compliance to Nestlé requirement and local regulation.
Ensure Good laboratory Practices as per Nestlé requirement is applied at Factory Laboratory.
Review and approve Risk assessment, documents and working instructions related with Pest management activities.
Lead audit of Nestlé’s Suppliers including service provider.
Competitive Product Supply:
Ensure First Time Quality
Ensure optimum product release time.
Coordinate and conduct release of Finished Goods (FG)
Coordinate release of New Raw Materials and Packaging materials
Consumer Complaint
Ensure Complaint is being investigated properly and feedback is given in timely manners.
Continuous improvement and root cause analysis
Ensure the monitoring of key quality parameters by means of statistical process control to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement in the quest for zero defect.
What Will Make You Successful?
Academic Experience:
University graduate or equivalent (preferred microbiology, chemistry
or food science)
Operational Experience:
Demonstrated capability to lead a group, e.g., Group leader in a factory: Deputy QA, Quality Systems, Hygienist.
Business Experience:
Management exposure across several functions
Different factory and/or market positions, environments (Centre, Region, Market, Expatriation, Mission, Special Projects)
Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.
Great communication skills.
Factory experience is key.
Must have a good command of English & French Languages
Must have a good command of SAP
