Thisposition is also responsible for maintaining proper and accurate paperwork andensuring a professional appearance with all vehicles and is accountable forbasic operational instruction to customers on the safe operation of allequipment. This may require that the employee gather additional knowledgeand understanding of all products and services available within the companyConducts daily Driver Vehicle Inspections required by the Federal MotorCarrier Safety Administration and USDOTPerforms minor repairs and preventative maintenance to transport equipment toensure vehicle is in safe operating condition and ready for next-day businessto include fueling and pre-loading whenever possibleLearns and understands transport equipment thoroughly to ensure safe operationInspects all machinery and equipment for damage at time of pick up.
