The Epic Clinical Systems Manager will support work out of our NY & NJ care delivery offices to establish and grow our emerging support service line. This candidate will manage, plan, and coordinate the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of EHR services. The candidate will also serve as a liaison between end-users, project team members and other Information Technology resources while providing exemplary customer service and Epic application support in the assigned Epic module(s) under their vertical. Solid candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate self-motivation, individual leadership, and team collaboration. Working hand in hand with clinical, operational, and IT leadership you will ensure the continued operational success required to support the organization. This role requires you to be detail oriented, organized, highly self-motivated and driven towards excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead all phases (e.g. design, build and testing) of small to medium size ambulatory application projects including Epic software upgrades, adoption of new Epic functionality and/or significant enhancements to integrated workflows Manage daily assignments of Epic system analysts & project managers Manage, train, and lead a team of analyst that are accountable, adaptable, and prepared to support the growing needs of the organization Develop and own the creation of employee goals that will ensure the growth and engagement of resources managed Work with IT infrastructure teams to identify and resolve issues impacting IT clinical applications, ensuring appropriate root cause analysis is performed Identify areas of improvements for existing systems and new opportunities that will drive value to the business and support the organizational goals in a broader sense Provide Epic product function expertise for the design, build, and testing for assigned EpicCare module(s) Manage Epic system analysts to design, scope, and build Epic enhancements and configure system build to resolve incidents in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Provide technical and or clinical consultation including application configuration Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for our clinical staff members Develop, support, and maintain workflow documentation, test scripts and configuration guides for core pieces of application functionality Work with trainers to develop and maintain application specific training curriculum and materials Develop solid relationships with operational stakeholders, customers, and business partners Define system setup requirements and validate system build is completed according to required specification Ensure that all changes to existing systems are correctly deployed in a manner that minimizes disruption to day-to-day operations and maximize end-user benefit Effectively communicate systems changes, outages, and issues to various stakeholders impacted Define & adhere to all pre-defined Epic change control & quality assurance processes Ability to drive & execute key tasks, milestones & timeline that are project driven Work closely with clinicians (in office) to review workflows and define areas for improvement & optimizations

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of healthcare experience 5+ years of working with clinical systems, predominately ambulatory EMR-based platforms 5+ years of Epic implementation experience Knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies Knowledge of relevant operational and clinical workflows Proficient with the full Microsoft Office 365 Suite of applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) Proven ability to visit clinical sites to provide in person support (role requires onsite presence and travel to physician offices for workflow and optimization assessments) Proven ability to demonstrate team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication and leadership skills Hybrid role (remote and office based in our Secaucus, NJ or Syosset, NY office
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, or related healthcare technology experience Epic certification (Ambulatory, Prelude/Cadence) 5+ years of working with clinical systems, predominately ambulatory EMR-based platforms 3+ years of management experience Extensive knowledge of IT applications, technologies, and systems In-depth knowledge of Epic EMR and the full implementation lifecycle of Epic's suite of EMR applications Proven to be effective and efficient in working with multiple stakeholders across various IT and operational teams Proven ability to work across team, group, and business boundaries to drive commonality and reusability in solution to real-world problems Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain solid internal relationships as well as motivate and inspire other team members through solid consultative skills Demonstrates a solid ability to build partnerships and influence others
New Jersey or New York Residents Only: The salary range for New Jersey or New York residents is $85,000 to $167,300 per year.
