In performing such duties,an Environmental Scientist II will conduct research or performinvestigations for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminatingsources of pollutants or hazards that affect either the environment orthe health of the population. Utilizing his/her knowledge of variousscientific disciplines, he/she may collect, synthesize, study, report,and take action based on data derived from measurements or observationsof air, food, soil, water, and other sources. The successful candidatewill apply scientific methodology for analysis of risk assessments andindustrial hygiene applications to ensure client\'s expectations aremet. All Environmental Scientist IIs shall maintain a response bag withrequired Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and appropriate clothingand be subject to on-call rotation 24/7 for emergency response andfrequent, extended travel.

Bachelor\'s degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering,Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry,Chemical Engineering, Toxicology or other related science.Three to five years of experience in a related field may besubstituted in lieu of a degree.Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based platform is a must.SMART Performance Measures
