We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Engineer/Sr Engineer, Data Center in Vandalia, OH. As an integral part of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the management and maintenance of our client/server hardware and software, ensuring our computing environment operates efficiently, reliably, and securely.

Job Title: Sr. Data Center Engineer

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement robust IT infrastructure solutions

Perform maintenance and updates of IT systems and resolve technical issues

Resolve complex technical issues escalated from support teams Implement and manage security measures for IT infrastructure compliance

Communicate with clients to understand their technical needs

Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT infrastructure configurations

Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of IT systems

Execute IT infrastructure projects ensuring timely delivery, budget and adherence to quality standards

Monitor system performance and implement optimizations

Provide technical guidance and training to entry level IT staff and end-users

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology Information Systems, CIS/MIS, Engineering, or related technical discipline (preferred) or equivalent experience/training

Minimum 3 years of IT work experience Willingness to travel

Flexibility to work varying shifts

Preferred Experience:

Degree in the fields mentioned above

Prior experience in the Airline industry

Skills:

Familiarity with workflow and ITSM tools and ticketing systems

Excellent customer service and communication skills independent working ability and collaborative team performance

Candidates for Data Center engineering will also need:

Experience with hardware functionality and downtime reduction

Ability to coordinate with teams to scale data center operations

Experience with compliance audits and adherence to industry standards

Vendor coordination for equipment maintenance and upgrades

Disaster recovery and backup plans execution

Familiarity with network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls

Language Communication Skills, Physical Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical ability to perform the positions essential functions safely and successfully.

Must be able to lift 35lbs
