About the Role
Magna Steyr U.S. is looking for talented students for a summer internship to join the Exteriors team in complete vehicle development. The student would be responsible supporting the Exteriors Group and senior Engineers by completing assigned tasks relating to development of exterior components. The student would be exposed to multiple commodities and systems to enhance learning opportunities of Magna Steyr operations and the automotive industry in general. Student will be given goals to complete throughout the summer under the guidance of a mentor, and will be asked to provide a presentation to the group on their experiences at the end of the internship.
Your Responsibilities
Fully support Steyr Exterior Engineering Group with duties as assigned by Manager / Mentor
Utilize education and skills to assist in issue identification and resolution, these may include CAD reviews / issues list tracking and management, spread sheet data analysis, and vehicle / part benchmarking activities
Who we are looking for
• Some related experience preferred
• Currently enrolled in engineering curriculum and college or university
Your preferred qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Currently Attending a College or University
• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
• CAD Skills CATIA a plus
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
• May require local travel to benchmarking centers or other office environments
