  Are you an ambitious Electrical Engineer in the Milpitas, CA area seeking a new challenge? Omnicell is looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer II to provide technical contributions for commercialized products. This could be your next career growth opportunity.

  Our Engineering role will be responsible for the processes, equipment, documentation, and related supplier capability required to manufacture assigned products. This includes routine production line support, product improvement projects, and test fixture development/support. If you are intellectually curious, we are looking for someone who will continually improve product quality, delivery, and cost, both on the factory floor and from the related suppliers.

  Responsibilities:

  Process and apply comprehensive knowledge of Electrical and Electro-Mechanical disciplines.

  Assist with problem solving for manufacturing non-conformances.

  Perform lab experiments to collect and summarize data to develop new processes or solve problems.

  Document the workflow of a manufacturing process.

  Support the development and maintenance of Functional Test fixtures with external suppliers, perform verification and implementation at contract manufacturer’s site.

  Responsible for writing procedures, work instructions and test documentation.

  Refine and document capacity and efficiency models. Identify opportunities for quality defects to occur in manufacturing processes and suggest mitigations.

  Work in a cross-functional capacity across various organizational disciplines.

  Provide support to troubleshoot complex multi-discipline systems and machines.

  Apply innovative concepts and ideas to solve problems rapidly and efficiently.

  Participate in creating all product documentation including BOM's, assembly drawings, work instructions, and ECO's.

  Create documentation required for a product design changes. Support the activities required to gain cross-functional approval and implement changes.

  Work on cross-functional teams, to assess and validate supplier process capability for production builds, improve existing supplier processes, support supplier identification of projects to improve product quality and cost, and participate in experiments to determine root cause analysis of supplier quality issues.

  Contribute to design transfer activities such as process validations. Participate in post-new product launch issue resolution teams.

  Required Knowledge and Skills:

  Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

  Demonstrated initiative and ability to achieve results

  Strongly demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

  Demonstrated teamwork and collaborating behaviors

  General computer applications such as Excel, Access, Visio, Tableau

  Familiarity with lab equipment including Oscilloscope, TDR (Time-domain reflectometer), spectrum analyzer etc.

  Firm electrical engineering fundamentals in analog/digital, communications, sensors, power supplies and embedded systems.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 2+ years of Electrical engineering experience

  Quality Management Systems knowledge

  Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  ISO 13485/FDA Regulation Experience

  Experience with Altium or equivalent PCB CAD package

  ERP knowledge, preferably SAP

  PLM knowledge, preferably Agile

  Work Conditions:

  Production floor support

  Lab work

  Required travel (<25%)

  Extended or irregular work hours as needed

  Base compensation salary range: $77,069 - $99,240
