  Purpose and Essential Duties

  The Energy Analyst I administers programs meant to optimize energy usage across the organization.

  Specific responsibilities include:

  Designs and conducts energy audits at each organizational location.

  Analyzes audit results and historical records to determine energy/utility usage.

  Proposes changes to facilities, systems, machinery, equipment, policies, or practices with the goal of reducing energy consumption and related costs.

  Participates in renovation or new construction projects to ensure that sustainable building practices are followed wherever possible.

  Negotiates the purchase of energy or other utilities, seeking to secure favorable terms and rates.

  Performs work under direct supervision.

  Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

  This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Director of Logic.

  Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree.

  2-4 years of experience.

  Possesses beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.

  Ability to influence others.

  Problem/situation analysis.

  Conceptual thinking skills.

  Project management skills.

  Ability to work as part of a team.

  Effective verbal and written communication

  Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

  Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

  Travel Requirements

  Expected to travel 20% of the time.

  Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

  Climb stairs in an office building.

  Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.

  Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

  Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

  Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

  Low & high temperatures.

  Noisy and quiet environments.

  Small and/or enclosed spaces.

  Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
