Electro - Mechanical Technician – Blue Ash, OH
KellySETT, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is seeking a Mechanical Technician for a contract role within the Research and Development department of one of our Global Clients based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
This is a full-time position for a one-year contract from 1 Jan 2024 to 31 Dec 2024, with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, and paid time off.
Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Blue Ash (45242)
Hours: M-F 9am-5pm
Pay: $30 hr; plus benefits and PTO
Duration: 1 year contract (possible extension)
Responsibilities:
Operate complex mechanical equipment to produce finished parts per instructions and drawings.
Conduct machine setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting, focusing on minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
Assist in designing and developing fixtures and tooling for new product development.
Complete laboratory work orders by required dates and maintain laboratory standards in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice.
Maintain high-quality documentation for compliance with Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures.
Create and maintain equipment and tooling drawings in CAD (Solidworks) and perform equipment installations and qualifications under supervision.
Support prototype building and testing, including the use of precision measurement tools and visual equipment.
Handle materials coordination with suppliers and manage the transfer to production of equipment and materials.
Maintain an orderly laboratory and support equipment and technology upgrades.
Required Skills:
An Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required; a BS degree is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, supporting engineering projects and processes.
Strong technical skills with proficiency in engineering software, equipment, and measurement tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience with CAD software, particularly Solidworks, is desirable.
