JOB TITLE: Electrician
JOB DUTIES: Wires production machinery, debugs equipment, assists with startups, troubleshoots and assists in disassembling equipment for delivery to customers. All managers, supervisors, and employees are responsible for supporting company quality policies and initiatives as well as promoting and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS include the following, AND ALL other duties as assigned.
Wires production machinery per engineering supplied prints.
Performs layout of machine’s electrical devices such as control panels, disconnects, junction boxes and related hardware per standards of customer.
Works closely with engineers to identify and resolve controls problems.
Ensures materials necessary to complete project have been procured and will be available to Controls Assembly timely in order to meet customer requirements.
Coordinates Controls Assembly with Mechanical Assembly leaders, especially with regard to break points and/or any special customer requirements.
Assists with startup of new machinery.
Debugs wiring as much as possible before starting up any machines (inputs, outputs, hard wire circuits, etc).
Assists engineers with startup of machinery.
Disassembles machinery for shipment.
Ensures power is locked out and/or disconnected from main power sources before disassembly begins; relieves all stored energy.
Disconnects all electrical devices necessary to ship machine. Ensures this is accomplished to permit the easiest possible installation and startup at the customer location; properly marks all break points and secures any loose devices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications: (Electrician A) Ability to lead or direct 1 – 10 other Controls Assembly personnel. Ability to interpret all aspects of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagrams. Basic PLC training required. Elect 131 (Machine class at LCC or equivalent) required. NEC Code I class required.
